The Arts Council Azerbaijan is a non-governmental organization, an international and independent art platform established in 2006. The main purpose of the organisation is to promote culture and art, as well as to create an environment and infrastructure for the development of creative industries. As a member of the International Council of Arts Network that is active in various countries around the world, they are committed to advancing creativity and arts in different forms. In keeping with the organisation mission, we promote Azerbaijani art and culture through numerous social and public projects and strengthen the the sector in Azerbaijan, namely visual art, craft sector, theater, music and others. Arts Council works locally, regionally, nationally and internationally, shaping cultural and education policies and practice – and acting as one of the regional champions to increase opportunities for people to participate, work in and enjoy the art and culture. To make this possible, Arts Council is working closely with government agencies, diplomatic missions and the media to carry out various projects and initiatives. It offers full coverage of the most exciting local art events by spreading information about art projects via different channels (including media, social media and publications). It also provides opportunities for networking and sharing experiences through a programme of exhibitions, workshops, lectures, talks, discussions and film screenings. It offers development opportunities to young and emerging artists, musicians, artisans and others by sharing information about their work and helping them to grow professionally. Having the big network of the Arts Council representative’s offices, it often organizes international exhibitions and festivals. Arts Council Azerbaijan is proud of being one of the leading organizations in the country.

This year’s Children’s Crafts Fair is being organized. The exhibition and accompanying events aim not only to showcase traditional art, but also to preserve and celebrate Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage. With five main areas of traditional craftsmanship represented – carpets, jewelry (shebeke), kelaghayi (traditional Azerbaijani scarf), ceramics and copper dishes – the exhibition, the children’s crafts fair organized by children’s curators and two master classes will present a tapestry vibrant with artistic mastery and centuries of craftsmanship and tradition.

Le Conseil des arts d’Azerbaïdjan est une organisation non gouvernementale, une plateforme artistique internationale et indépendante créée en 2006. Son objectif principal est de promouvoir la culture et l’art, ainsi que de créer un environnement et une infrastructure pour le développement des industries créatives. En tant que membre du réseau du Conseil international des arts, actif dans plusieurs pays du monde, l’organisation s’engage à promouvoir la créativité et les arts sous différentes formes. Conformément à la mission de l’organisation, l’art et la culture azerbaïdjanais sont promus par le biais de nombreux projets sociaux et publics et qui renforcent le secteur en Azerbaïdjan, à savoir l’art visuel, l’artisanat, le théâtre, la musique et d’autres. Le Conseil des arts travaille au niveau local, régional, national et international, en façonnant les politiques et les pratiques culturelles et éducatives.

Le Conseil des arts travaille en étroite collaboration avec les agences gouvernementales, les missions diplomatiques et les médias pour mener à bien divers projets et initiatives. Il offre des opportunités de développement aux artistes, musiciens, artisans et autres jeunes et émergents en partageant des informations sur leur travail et en les aidant à se développer professionnellement. Grâce au vaste réseau de bureaux de représentation du Conseil des arts, il organise souvent des expositions et des festivals internationaux. Le Conseil des arts d’Azerbaïdjan est l’une des principales organisations du pays.

Cette année est organisé le Salon des métiers d’art pour enfants. L’exposition et les événements qui l’accompagnent ne visent pas seulement à mettre en valeur l’art traditionnel, mais aussi à préserver et à célébrer le riche patrimoine culturel de l’Azerbaïdjan. Avec cinq principaux domaines de l’artisanat traditionnel représentés – tapis, bijoux (shebeke), kelaghayi (foulard traditionnel azerbaïdjanais), céramiques et plats en cuivre – l’exposition, la foire de l’artisanat pour enfants organisée par des conservateurs enfants et deux classes de maître présenteront une tapisserie vibrante de maîtrise artistique et des siècles de savoir-faire et de tradition.
